Computer
Programs for Little Kids
Hello My name is and Hello My name is
Aussie Bear Red Rabbit
We star
in these Computer Programs for Little Kids with
Down syndrome and
other Intellectual Disabilities and we help children learn to use
a computer keyboard
as well as help with the development of literacy, numeracy and
other skills while
having success and a good fun time.
We hope that you can find some help at this computer site.
Charlie
was sitting at a computer with his daughter Deborah, a child with Down
syndrome
when she was a small child on his knee and he got her pressing the space
bar which she picked
up very quickly. It was then he got a vision to help children with an
intellectual disability use
the QWERTY key board. This culminated in a PhD at Sydney University with
the help of
many families with children with a disability (mostly Down syndrome) using
and providing
feedback to improve the Programs.
Technology
changes put program development on hold for many years. But in 2016,
Charlie discovered a way to continue to develop the programs.
In 2017
Charlie our creator introduced two new helpers
GreenKat
and Sally Snake

A photo
section has also been added where you may see my daughter Deborah
using Programs for Little Kids and her sister Katharine helping her. These
photographs
are when Deborah was a child. Deborah is a lot older now.
Deborah now has
excellent computer skills and is an excellent typist and uses a
computer in her employment.
I have included a couple of photos from late 2018.
